WHAT HAPPENED TO POLYCULE
Polycule was a Polymarket copy-trading Telegram bot. It custodied user funds in a wallet its team controlled — the trade-off for the convenience of one-tap copy-trading from chat. On January 13, 2026, that wallet was drained.
Rival copy-trade bot founder Ryan Chi (Insiders.bot) publicly accused the operators of having rugged. Whether the loss was an external exploit or an inside job is still contested. Either way, the lesson is the same: if someone else holds your keys, you're trusting their security model, their team, and their incentives.
